Echolette Top 12 Dynamic Microphone (AKG D14)
Tonight I have this Echolette branded AKG D14 from the 1960’s! The Top 12 contained both D12 and D14 elements, this one of which contains the same internals as a D14. Echolette released rebranded microphones made by Beyerdynamic, AKG, and more. Like other D14’s, this microphone has a nice natural sound to it with a smooth sound and a bump in the lower frequencies. For marketing reasons, Echolette commonly put their name on their products in large lettering (as you can see on this microphone). While Echolette did release their own rebranded D12’s, this one is not a D12 and as stated before contains the same element as a D14. This one has been wired up for XLR and is sounding great! It will come in its original leather case with a very nice looking red interior. Grab a killer looking Echolette D14 from AKG’s golden days in the 1960’s!
