Here’s an Aiwa VM-15 Ribbon Microphone from the 1960’s! Aiwa and other Japanese manufacturers built microphones with impressive engineering and high sound quality that could compete with other high end models at the time. These Aiwa VM15’s are some of my favorite, as they have a nice output and work nicely on a variety of sources. Overall VM-15's have a dark sound with plenty of low end that translates great on drums. Despite looking similar to an RCA 77, these are much smaller in size. For the price, these are fantastic ribbons that will beat out others in the same or higher price range. This one is clean and comes serviced with a new XLR cable and ribbon replacement. Grab this incredible sounding VM15 from Aiwa!
