AKG D12 (Modded W/ Beyerdynamic M380 Capsule)
Here’s a modded 1950’s AKG D12 body that features the same capsule as a Beyerdynamic M380! Beyerdynamic M380’s are known for their deep, bi-directional kick sound and Steve Albini calls them one of his favorite kick mic’s. The M380’s capsule is really the driver from one of their popular vintage studio headphone models. This D12 was dead and unfixable so I replaced the internals with the exact same vintage capsule that you’d find inside of the M380. Grab this unique kick microphone combination with the sought after deep low end of the Beyerdynamic M380!
