AKG D224E Dynamic Microphone
Here’s a late 1960’s AKG 224E dynamic microphone! These were some of the first microphones to implement both high and low frequency systems. Sonically, this microphone has a smooth sound with little proximity effect. If you’re looking for a natural sound without any extended hype, this is a great option. I’d recommend this D224E on acoustic, snare, guitar amps, and more. Overall this microphone is in nice shape for it’s age other than a few small marks! The bass cut switch is no longer working (a typical issue with these), but both the high and low frequency sections are working perfectly. Grab a 1960’s AKG microphone with dual capsules to smooth out your sound sources!
