Ampex Model 7011 Dynamic Microphone (Shure 545)
Here’s a Shure 545 that was rebranded for Ampex! This 545 was sold with a tape recorder, thus it was rebranded by Ampex (Model 7011). Regardless of the rebrand and model number, this is the exact same microphone as a 545. The Shure 545 was the earliest version of their dynamic microphone (the precursor to the SM57), and has a brighter and more natural sound than today’s 57. This Ampex Model 7011 is one of the early USA Made versions. This microphone has also been converted to XLR.
