Beyer’s M500 is a signal ribbon microphone like the M260, however the M500 has a reduced proximity effect that makes it a nice option for close micing, vocals, and more. If you’ve been looking for a unique sounding pair of ribbons with good high end that don’t get muddy, these are the microphones for you.
