Here’s a rebranded Sennheiser MD409N Dynamic Microphone from the 1960’s! These rare microphones were the original version of the famous 409. Unlike later models, these N models don’t have issues with deteriorating foam damaging the diaphragm. This one has its original 402/3 capsule, ready to capture a warm mid-range with a sparkling top end. In my opinion, these are the best version of the 409 and some of the best microphones Sennheiser has ever produced. These were expensive to make and Sennheiser didn’t make many! If you’ve been looking for a great dynamic microphone for guitar cabs and more, this is the microphone for you. This is the “ES-14” version that was identical to the 409N though Echolette branded.
