Electro Voice N/D 308B Dynamic Microphone Pair
Here’s a pair of Electro Voice N/D 308B Dynamic Microphones from the 1980’s (2 pairs available at $125 each). The “N/D” series by Electro Voice stood for a change to neodymium magnets (as opposed to alnico), which they claimed had “four times the power potential of conventional microphone magnets”. Today, neodymium magnets are used for most dynamic and ribbon microphone designs, so these marked part of the change from alnico to neodymium. All specs aside, these are nice large diaphragm dynamic microphones that sound great on tom’s, guitar amps, and more.
