ESL Sennheiser MD403 Dynamic Microphone
Here’s an ESL branded Sennheiser MD403 Dynamic Microphone from the 1960’s! ESL stood for Electro-Sonic Laboratories and was an example of many different companies that imported audio gear to the US for resale. This microphone is identical to a Sennheiser MD403, and has a 402/1 capsule inside. The 402/1 was the first version of what became the Sennheiser MD409N (which used a 402/3 capsule). If you’ve been looking for a similar sound to the MD409 without breaking the bank, this is the microphone for you! This MD403 will excel on guitar amps and more. This one has been modded for a balanced output (the stock transformers are high impedance) with an XLR. Grab this ESL branded classic Sennheiser MD403!
