Film Industries M8 Ribbon Microphone
Here are two Film Industries M8 Ribbon Microphones from the 1960’s (2 Available at $275 Each)! These are typical British ribbon microphones, with three horseshoe magnets and a thin ribbon width. These M8’s pick up a nice low end that makes them a good option on drums, guitar amps, and more (high SPL sources). These can be noisy depending on the pre and source, so some experimentation may be necessary. Both of these have been serviced with new ribbons and new XLR cables. One version is the gooseneck version, while the other is the tilted M8S. If you’re looking for a low cost ribbon to beef up your sources, these are the microphones for you!
