Here’s a Grundig GDSM 211 Stereo Dynamic Microphone from the 1960’s! These early GDSM 211’s have Sennheiser made 402/1 capsules, which were the earliest version of the MD409 capsules. The 402/1 has less low end than the 402/3 (used in the 409N), however the build is very similar and they share many of the same tonal characteristics. These are a great option if you're looking for a stereo option similar to the MD409! I serviced both of these microphones with new foam, added XLR’s, and cleaned diaphragms.
