Lustraphone VR64 Ribbon Microphone Pair
Here’s a rare pair of British Lustraphone VR64 Ribbon Microphones from the 1950's. These have been serviced and matched with new ribbons, cables, and Cinemag transformers. These VR64’s are some of the nicest sounding ribbons I have come across from England. They have a punchy low end, all while picking up a detailed high end without getting too harsh. I’m impressed with the output these get for older ribbons with small motors! These VR64’s are also very versatile and would work great as overheads, for all guitar uses, on horns, vocals, and more. I can’t say enough good things about these mic’s! These Lustaphone’s could easily rival a pair of Coles 4038’s on a kit, an R121 on a guitar amp, etc. If you’re looking for a vintage pair of ribbons for a good price, these are some of the best you’ll find!
