MBHO MB301 Ribbon Microphone
Here’s an MBHO MB301 Ribbon Microphone from the 1960’s. These microphones were made by Beyerdynamic and are truly unique compared with their other models. Typically other brands would re-release popular microphones with their own cosmetics / branding, but the MB301 is a single ribbon microphone with a longer ribbon than an M160/260. The 301 also uses a horseshoe magnet which was likely used in Beyer’s M320/360 models. The result is a microphone that has the feel of an M260 with an extended high end. This MBHO MB301 has been serviced with a new ribbon and has also been converted to XLR! This microphone has some cosmetic bumps and light scratches but overall looks good and sounds even better!
