Rauland W-1248 (Modded) Ribbon Microphone
Here's a Rauland W-1248 Ribbon Microphone from the 1940's! These Webster Chicago made microphones are an eye catcher due to their unique design. Webster made many different crystal microphones for tape recording, etc - this W-1248 Ribbon Microphone would have been one of their top of the line models. This particular microphone has been rebuilt with a 1960's Shure Ribbon element and FAB XL transformer. While the internals aren't original, this one now sounds great with a nice output and low end response. This microphone would make for a good pairing with drums, acoustics, vocals, and more. If you've been looking for an eye catching microphone with a great vintage sound, this one of a kind microphone is the one for you. Grab this modded Rauland W-1248 from the 1940's!
