RCA KB2A Ribbon Microphone
Here’s an RCA KB2A Ribbon Microphone from the 1950’s! Back in the 50’s, RCA was presented with the task of creating a microphone that functioned similarly to the 44-BX in a smaller profile; the KB2 was their answer! RCA needed a microphone that wouldn’t block a performers face but also had no reductions in quality. This KB2A has an impressive low end for it’s size and makes a great ribbon option on guitar amps, drums, horns, vocals, and more! This model has an M / V switch to give the option of reducing lower frequencies if needed. This KB2A is in great condition and sounding nice with a new ribbon. The upper section has been fixed into place to prevent future issues. This one also comes with a small XLR cable attached to prevent opening the body every time it is plugged in.
