Sennheiser MD409N Dynamic Microphone
Here’s a Sennheiser MD409N Dynamic Microphone from the 1960’s! These rare microphones were the original version of the famous 409. Unlike later models, these N models don’t typically have issues with deteriorating foam damaging the diaphragm. This one has its original 402/3 capsule, ready to capture a warm mid-range with a sparkling top end. In my opinion, these are the best version of the 409 and some of the best microphones Sennheiser has ever produced. These were expensive to make and Sennheiser didn’t make many! If you’ve been looking for a great dynamic microphone for guitar cabs and more, this is the microphone for you. This one has some wear to the body in a few areas, but overall looks good and functions perfectly. This one was rebranded by Echolette, hence the Echolette branding on the back grill.
