Shure Model 508 Stratoliner Ribbon Microphone
Here's an early 1940's Shure 508 Stratoliner Ribbon Microphone. Shure released the Stratoliner in both a Crystal and Ribbon option (although for whatever reason the ribbon model was called a Dynamic). I've gone in and installed a new ribbon, as well as added a new Geistnote transformer in this microphone. It has a very unique old sound for a ribbon microphone due to the shape of the body. This microphone is Uni-directional, and I would recommend it for use on guitar amps, drums, vocals, and other loud sources. Keep in mind that this microphone was made in the 1940's and will need a good amount of clean gain for best results. This one has been converted to XLR and is ready for use. Grab a unique ribbon from the 1940's!
