Sony ECM-377 Condenser Microphone
Tonight I have another late 1970’s Sony ECM-377 Electret Condenser Microphone. There aren’t a ton of lower priced vintage condensers on the market, so this is a cool option to have! The ECM-377 has a nice smooth frequency response. It sounds great on vocals, acoustics, as a room, on drums, guitars and more! This microphone is powered by phantom power and has M, M1, and V1 modes to switch between different bass responses. When switching between the different settings, be sure to turn the gain down as the microphone will make a pop sound when switching. These microphones don’t come up for sale too often, so grab this one while you have a chance. This one does have some wear to the paint and other areas, see pictures!
