Strasser M200 (Beyer M160) Ribbon Microphone
Here’s a Strasser M200 ribbon microphone from the 1960’s! These Strasser rebrands were early Beyer M160’s with a large tuchel connector. The Beyer M160 is Beyer’s top of the line microphone that has two ribbons on top of one another that add great depth and has made the 160 a go-to studio option for guitar amps and drum overheads. These early Strasser rebrands are hard to find, and use alnico magnets which sound slightly warmer than today’s neodymium magnets. This one is in good condition overall, with a few light marks to the body. If you’ve been looking for a classic M160 that works well on a variety of sources, this is the one for you! Grab this rebranded M200 (M160) from the glory days of Beyer!
