Here’s a Tannoy Cardiod Ribbon Microphone from the 1950’s! Tannoy was a British manufacturer of speakers, microphones, PA equipment, and more. This Tannoy microphone is very rare to the point where the official model is unknown. This uni-directional ribbon can hang with the RCA BK-5B, and excels on guitar amps, drums, horns, acoustics and more. This one has a thick sound, with an impressive output. I’ve gone in and replaced the ribbon and converted it to XLR. If you’re looking for a rare ribbon that can hold its own with much more expensive ribbons, this is the microphone for you.
