Here's a Telefunken D77 stereo dynamic microphone from the 1960's that has been modded with Beyerdynamic M818 capsules. The original dynamic elements in this microphone were dead (as they often times are), so I used a pair of Beyerdynamic M818's that sounded perfect but were in bad cosmetic condition to get this D77 working again. Beyerdynamic M818 capsules have a solid low end and punch that work well on a variety of different sources. Putting them in the D77 made them sound a bit more airy. I love the uniqueness of this microphone and believe that it will make a nice character piece in whatever home it ends up in! Grab this modded Telefunken D77 with Beyerdynamic M818 capsules!
