Thomson French Ribbon Microphone
Here’s a rare Thomson ribbon microphone, made in France in the 1950’s! This microphone was clearly based on RCA’s 74-B - the internals have similar dimensions, with the same ribbon motor style. This microphone has a typical warm ribbon sound, with a bit more low end and depth than a 74-B. This one has been serviced with a new cable and ribbon - it has been hard-wired for it’s full frequency (musique) setting. Overall this microphone is in nice condition for its age! If you’ve been looking for a vintage ribbon for guitar amps and more, this is the microphone for you. Grab this rare French ribbon microphone to add a unique yet very usable ribbon to your studio!
