Here’s a Universal Model 808 5MM Velocity (Ribbon) Microphone from the late 1930’s! This microphone is in like new condition, which is crazy considering it is over 90 years old! The original ribbon in this one is in perfect condition, though I added a new transformer and balanced XLR cable so this one can be used for modern application. These 808’s have great low end, with a colored top end that adds great usable character to a mix. If you’ve been looking for a unique ribbon with great character, this is the microphone for you!
