Aiwa VM-12 Ribbon Microphone
Here's an Aiwa VM-12 Ribbon Microphone from the 1960’s! These are one of many different Japanese ribbons that were modeled after the cosmetics of RCA ribbons. Despite looking similar to the RCA 77, these are smaller in size and have very different internals. While some Japanese ribbons have a small ribbon gab similar to the RCA 77, these VM-12’s have a similar ribbon size to the RCA 74-B. These mic’s have a solid low end and dark sound that makes them a great match for drum placements and more. This one has a new ribbon, upgrade Cinemag transformer (this was originally a high impedance model), and a new XLR cable. If you’ve been looking for a classic looking vintage ribbon, this is the microphone for you! Grab this VM-12 Ribbon Microphone from Aiwa!
