Despite looking similar to the RCA 77, these are smaller in size and have very different internals. While some Japanese ribbons have a small ribbon gap similar to the RCA 77, these VM-12’s have a similar ribbon size to the RCA 74-B. These microphones have a solid low end and dark sound that makes them a great match for drum placements and more.
