AKG D12 Dynamic Microphone (Modded W/ Beyer M380 Capsule)
Here are two AKG D12/D12E bodies that originally had dead, unfixable elements inside. I replaced the internals with vintage Beyer M380 bi-directional capsules. Due to the identical grills on each side, the D12 is a perfect casing for the rehoused M380 capsules. If you’ve been looking for the M380 sound on a budget, one of these would be great for you! When used on kick drum and bass cabs, these mic’s excel due to their exceptional low end. These M380 conversions are a great way to save dead D12’s and give them a new life. Grab one of these converted AKG D12’s with M380 internals!
