AKG D12E Dynamic Microphone
Here’s a classic AKG dynamic microphone from the 1980’s! In the 60’s, the AKG D12 became a standard microphone option for kick drum (even though it was made for voice). AKG reissued the microphone with the same general internals in their AKG D12E. The D12E came 20 years later with a few manufacturing tweaks to give the D12E a slightly deeper low end than the prior D12. While the D12 and D12E are no longer made, they are still a staple in front of the kick drum in most major studios today. Finding a serviced and ready to go D12 can be difficult - this D12E has been serviced and has its full low end. I service these microphones on a weekly basis, so you can confidently buy this microphone knowing it will live up to its full potential (and you have me as a servicing option down the road).
