AKG D12E Dynamic Microphone
Here’s an AKG D12E Dynamic Microphone from the 1980’s! AKG’s D12 design has been a go-to option for kick drum since the early 1960’s. The D12E was released nearly 20 years after the original D12, and while the designs were still the same there were some changes in the materials of the parts. Some of these changes included a plastic resonance chamber, a slightly thicker diaphragm, a more efficient covering over the diaphragm, etc. I find that the D12E is easier to service and has more low end than the original D12 (though I love the sound of both). This D12E has been serviced and has it’s full low end. Overall this one looks good for it’s age - there is a small repaired crack in the body. This one will come with an original AKG SA40 clip.
