AKG D14 Dynamic Microphone (Black)
Here’s a 1960’s AKG D14, what many call the little brother to the D12. Like many of the dynamic microphones made by AKG in the 50’s and 60’s, the D14 has a quality made dynamic element. When properly serviced, they have a nice full sound that does a nice job handling high pressure sounds. These microphones sound particularly natural and smooth on most sources. I’d recommend this one on any guitars, drums, vocals, stringed instruments, etc. AKG sold many of their microphones to different companies for rebranding. This D14 has “Bolex Paillard” branding, as it was sold to a Swiss film company. I’ve rewired this one for a balanced output with a new XLR cable. It sounds great - ready for studio use! Grab a dynamic microphone from some of AKG’s best years!
