AKG D224E Dynamic Microphone
Here are two AKG D224E Two-Way Dynamic Microphones from the 1960’s (2 Available at $425 Each)! AKG experimented with different dual element microphone designs in the 1960’s, and the D224, D202, and D200E were three designs that featured both high and low frequency elements in one microphone. The D224E was the top of the line studio version, incorporating the two-way system for a wide + smooth response typically only expected in condenser microphones. The top capsules in these microphones have little proximity effect, while the low end capsules capture a full response from sound holes near the bottom of the microphone. Both of these D224E's are in good overall condition with a few marks to their bodies here and there. Both have their full frequency response from both the high and low capsules. These both come with original AKG SA18 clips (I'd recommend leaving them in place as they are tight and can scratch the bodies if removed). If you’ve been looking for a versatile, high end dynamic microphone for the studio - one of these is the microphone for you. Grab one of these D224E two-way dynamics from AKG!
