AKG D25 Dynamic Microphone
Here’s an AKG D25 Dynamic Microphone from the 1960’s! AKG made a few different microphone models with their famous D12 dynamic capsule / bass chamber combo. The main difference between the D25 and other AKG models was the shock mount which allowed the body to be suspended between the poles. AKG had some diaphragm material changes over the years and in different models, but all AKG dynamic microphones in the D12 line feature the same capsule / bass chamber design. The D25 is sought after as less of these models were produced than D12’s! This is a perfect sounding D25, with a spotless diaphragm and great low end response. If you’ve been looking for a clean D25 that will hold up for years to come, this is the microphone for you. The shocks of this microphone have been replaced and otherwise the only thing to note is while the low end cut switch is functional the original markings plate is missing.
