Here’s an Amperite RAE Ribbon Microphone from the early 1940’s! Amperite manufactured microphones for live and studio uses out of New York City in the 1930’s and 40’s. This RAE was a mid-level ribbon microphone that was released for studio use. Today, this microphone needs a lot of gain, but can add a nice character on loud sources (drums and guitars). This one has a new ribbon and XLR cable, ready for use! If you’ve been looking for an old ribbon that can add some character, this is the microphone for you!
