Here's a 1960's Argonne AR-57 that I modded by swapping out the old crystal elements with a NOS 1960's Sennheiser 402/1 capsule. The Sennheiser 402/1 was the very first of the 409 dynamic line in the 1960's (the 409 uses a 402/3 capsule). This microphone has a very open and bright sound, characteristic of the 60's Sennheiser sound that many prefer on guitar amps. This Argonne AR-57 body is perfect for the Sennheiser capsule, because it lets sound in through both the front and rear of the capsule. In addition to the nice capsule, this Argonne body is in amazing shape and will come in the original box.
