Bang and Olufsen BM5 Stereo Ribbon Microphone
Here’s a Bang and Olufsen BM5 Stereo Ribbon Microphone from the 1960’s! These B&O’s feature two sections with identical ribbons and transformers inside. When the top section is at 90 degrees, a Blumlein pattern can be achieved to add extra dimension. These microphones need a lot of gain, but when gained up add nice depth and character when used as a drum overhead, room mic, acoustic mic, and more! This BM5 comes in it’s original case with the original stand, cable, stand mount, and paperwork. Note that the top section has been permanently fixed at 90 degrees (the top section can still be removed).
