Bang and Olufsen BM6 Ribbon Microphone
Here's a Bang and Olufsen BM6 Ribbon Microphone from the 1960's! These were the later ribbons that B&O made after their BM3 / 4 models. The BM6 had a different magnet shape, as well as an optional BM7 that attached to the top to make it a BM5 (the BM6 is the lower half of the BM5). Overall, these are great ribbons for drums, guitars, and more with a deep low end response and large proximity effect. If the proximity effect is too much, the front of these microphones offer a T (talk - bass cut), M (music - full response), or O (off) switch. This microphone has been serviced and is sounding great - there is some wear to the finish of the body, but overall it's looking good for it's age. Grab this BM6 ribbon microphone from Bang and Olufsen!
