Beyerdynamic M500 N(C) Ribbon Microphone Bronze
Here’s an early 1970’s Beyerdynamic M500 ribbon microphone in an early bronze finish! The “N(C)” refers to the connector type and this one has an XLR output. The M500 is one of Beyerdynamic’s single ribbon microphones which has a transformer that specifically filters out some of the low frequencies (40 - 18,000 Hz). Unlike the 160 and 260, you’ll have a very flat response with the M500. To my ear the M500 is also brighter - I’ve had customers purchase them to get more high end out of a drum mix. The M500 is also great on guitar amps, vocals, and more! This one has some wear to the body and head basket, but overall sounds great. Grab one of Beyerdynamic’s classic ribbon microphones in this M500!
