Echolette Select Master (AKG D12) Dynamic Microphone
Here’s an Echolette Select Master dynamic microphone from the 1960’s! These “Select Master” models have AKG D12 internals with a bass roll-off switch on the very bottom of the mic (I bypassed the switch to prevent intermittent issues). Echolette made amplifiers, tape echo’s, and other popular PA equipment in the 1960’s. They also rebranded many popular microphone models to sell with their equipment (Sennheiser, Beyer, and AKG microphones). This Echolette Select Master is sounding great - I’ve wired it up with a new cable to XLR. These have unique bodies that were initially made for hand held use while reporting; the microphone requires a clip for mounting to a stand unlike other D12 models. This one had an on/off switch installed on the front grill by someone in the past (I bypassed the switch). Grab this rare Select Master AKG D12 that was rebranded and sold by Echolette!
