Electro Voice 666 Dynamic Microphone
Here’s an Electro Voice 666 Dynamic Microphone from the late 1960’s! The Electro Voice 666 is unique in that it obtains a cardioid pattern by the use of three additional sound entrances beyond picking up from the front grill. The 666 was EV’s top of the line dynamic microphone, selling for the hefty starting price of $255 in 1957. Today, these are used in studios for vocals, guitars, kick, and other drum uses. This one is sounding great with its original Cannon connector (with a new cable to XLR). If you’ve been looking for a colored dynamic that will add some vintage depth to your sources, this is the microphone for you! While this one has some wear to the body and “Bud” etched into the casing, it is functioning perfectly with new foam and a cleaned diaphragm.
