Here are two Electro Voice Model 668 Dynamic Microphone from the 1970’s (two available at $550 each)! These microphones were the predecessor to the RE-20, and have some similar qualities. The 667 and 668 are the same microphone, though the 668 has added jumpers internally which allow for additional EQ curves. These microphones have added warmth and depth over today’s RE-20’s. You’ll find that the 668 has dark, ribbon-like qualities with nice proximity effect. These both have new capsules, cleaned diaphragms, and newer EV mounts with custom holding bands installed!
