Electro Voice Cardiline Model 642 Dynamic Microphone
Here’s an Electro Voice Model 642 Dynamic Microphone from the 1960’s with it’s original shock mount and cannon cable to XLR. The 642 is a highly directional microphone that was originally used for TV and film uses. Aside from being a shotgun microphone, this is a very warm sounding microphone with the nice characteristics you’d expect from a high priced Electro Voice microphone. Finding the original mounts for these are very difficult, so this is a nice opportunity to buy one with all of the original parts! I’d recommend this as a room microphone and also for close up acoustic instruments where you’re wanting to hear more of a roomy vibe.
