Here’s a pair of Electro Voice RE-11 Dynamic Microphones from the 1970’s! These dynamic’s are from the same family as the RE15/16, however Electro Voice made these as a more affordable alternative where less unit to unit matching was necessary. The design of these is the same as the RE16, though the RE11 has a shorter head basket. If you’ve been looking for the sound of the RE15/16 for a better price, these are the mic’s for you! This line of dynamic’s from Electro Voice does a great job of lowering proximity effect for sources where it isn’t needed. I specifically love these mic’s when a less ‘boomy’ acoustic sound is needed. Both of these RE11’s are in great shape for their age, with cleaned diaphragms and new foam.
