Grampian GR2 Ribbon Microphone
Here’s a rare Grampian GR2 ribbon microphone from the 1960’s! Grampian was based in England and made microphones for public address and studio use. These microphones have a small size with a big sound. I changed the transformer in this GR2 with a new Cinemag transformer and this microphone captures thick lows and aggressive highs. I could see this microphone being used almost anywhere - it would shine on guitar amps and also get great punchy results on drums.
