Here's a Grundig (Lustraphone) VR53 Ribbon Microphone from the 1960’s (#1)! Lustraphone made a variety of public address and recording microphones out of London in the 1950’s and 60’s. Grundig rebranded this model and sold it with some of their tape recording models! This microphone originally had a high impedance transformer, however I upgraded it to a new Cinemag transformer with a balanced output to XLR. This VR53 has an impressive low end and will give nice results on drums, guitars, vocals, horns, and more! For how affordable this model is, it gives high quality results.
