LEM Model 305 Ribbon Microphone
Here’s an LEM Model 305 Ribbon Microphone from the 1950’s! These were made in France and while there isn’t much information on the manufacturer “LEM”, they made many different high quality dynamic and ribbons microphones in France throughout the 1940-60's. This model 305 was designed to be a utility microphone for “orchestral re-transmission, theaters, speeches, etc.” Today, these make nice guitar amp microphones when looking for a dark tone with some color. This microphone was originally high impedance so I added a Cinemag transformer with a balanced cable to XLR! This beautiful microphone is ready for any studio - this one makes a nice character piece! Grab this lesser known French Model 305 Ribbon from LEM!
