Here's a rare "Lifetime" ribbon microphone from the 1960's! I have yet to find another ribbon like this one. Internally, the ribbon motor is of nice quality but is unlike any other model I've worked on. I serviced this microphone with a new XLR cable, Cinemag transformer, and a ribbon replacement. This Lifetime ribbon sounds great, with a deep low end and nice tone overall. It needs a reasonable amount of gain and is best suited for high SPL sources (guitar amps, drums, etc).
