Lustraphone VR65 Stereo Ribbon Microphone
Here's a Lustraphone VR65 Stereo Ribbon Microphone from the 1950's! Lustraphone made a variety of different ribbon and dynamic microphones for PA, broadcasting, and studio use. The VR64's have always had a sound that impressed me for the output and low end response, and this VR65 is a rare stereo version of two built on top of each other. The VR65's top section can fully rotate for different arrangements, but will come set in its Blumlein configuration. Another stereo ribbon microphone from the same time period is the B&O BM5, but these VR65's have more output and a bit more low end response (they are also much harder to find). If you've been looking for a stereo ribbon option to add some color to your sound, this is the microphone for you! This VR65 comes serviced with ribbon replacements, a standard stand adapter, and a new stereo pigtail cable to XLR. Grab this rare VR65 ribbon microphone from Lustraphone!
