Here’s an Oktava ML-19 Ribbon Microphone from the 1980’s! These are some of the most underrated uni-directional ribbon microphones out there that can rival other ribbons well over $1,000. Oktava made many different high quality ribbon microphones (many of which took inspiration from RCA’s designs). The closest thing to compare these ML-19’s to is the BK-5B, due to it’s uni-directional characteristics. This ML-19 is in great condition for it’s age with a new ribbon, new foam, and updated XLR cable. This one is missing the original top grill, but it’s been modified and is unnoticeable. If you’re looking for a versatile ribbon for guitars, drums, and even vocals; this is the microphone for you. This ML-19 sounds nice and clear with a smooth mid range and good output overall.
