Here’s a pair of Russian Oktava ML-51 Ribbon Microphones from the early 1980’s! These are bi-directional ribbons that originally ran off of a special Russian battery. I converted these to passive ribbons with new upgraded Cinemag transformers. These ribbons have an impressive thick sound and would pair nicely with any source that needs some extra low end. I’d recommend these as overheads, in front of a kick, on guitar amps, acoustics, and more. Oktava made some impressive ribbon microphones back in the day! These have been restored with new ribbons, cables, transformers, etc. - ready for studio use! Grab this pair of Russian ribbon microphones from Oktava!
