I upgraded both of these with passive Cinemag transformer and new ribbons. After converting these, they make a lovely pair that are great for overheads, rooms, acoustic / electric guitar, vocals, and more. These bi-directional ribbons have a warm tone with a smooth yet prominent proximity effect that makes them applicable on many sources. You won’t find a better pair of vintage ribbons for the price.
