Philips EL6021/60
Here’s another Philips dynamic microphone, made in Holland in the early 1960’s. This one is much different than the 6030’s I posted last week, bringing in a much more versatile and bright sound. The dynamic element is high quality, wired up for 500 ohms, and has a very light airiness in the mid-range. There’s something really nice about how this one pairs up with an acoustic. It’d also be a good fit for guitar amps, some vocals, drums and more. I’ve wired up this one with a balanced output to XLR. It also comes with a standard stand adapter, studio ready! Grab one of the more rare vintage dynamics from Philips that would make a great character piece in your studio!
